LIFE CELEBRATIONS & RITES OF PASSAGE
Some thresholds we choose.
Others choose us.
Endings and milestones both deserve to be witnessed —
held with the same intention, the same care, the same presence.
LIFE CELEBRATIONS AND MEMORIALS
Honoring a life fully lived
When someone we love dies, we need a way to say what their life meant - not just to mark an ending, but to honor everything that came before it. A memorial or celebration of life service gives family and friends a space to grieve together, to remember, and to find a measure of peace.
These services can be as traditional or as personal as you need them to be. Some families want quiet reflection and ritual; others want stories shared, laughter included, a life truly celebrated rather than simply mourned.
I work with you to understand who this person was, what mattered to them, and what your family needs in this moment.
What a Memorial Can Include
Remembrance
Stories and reflections from the people who knew them best, woven into the service.
Ritual & Meaning
Readings, music, candle lighting, or cultural and spiritual traditions for comfort.
Space to Grieve Together
A structure that holds the room, so family isn't managing logistics while grieving.
SACRED RITES OF PASSAGE
The moments in between that deserve witness.
Not every threshold is a wedding, a birth, or a goodbye. Some of life's most significant transitions happen quietly in between - a coming-of-age, a milestone birthday, a stepping into elderhood, a recovery honored, a new chapter claimed on purpose.
A rite of passage ceremony gives that transition a shape — a moment where the people who matter to you gather, witness the change, and mark it as real.
A few examples — though this list is far from complete:
-
Coming-of-age ceremonies, marking the transition into young adulthood
-
Milestone birthdays — honoring a significant chapter rather than just celebrating it
-
Croning or elder-honoring ceremonies, recognizing wisdom and a new life stage
-
Sobriety or recovery milestones, marked with intention and witnessed by loved ones
-
Gender-affirming or name-change ceremonies, honoring a person stepping into themselves
-
Adoption finalization ceremonies, recognizing a family made complete
-
Any transition that feels significant enough to deserve a moment of its own
